ESBGC – Boys and Girls Club – 100 Gallaway

Project Overview

Work completed at 100 Galloway rd, Boys and Girls Club is East Scarborough of expanding their facilities to further provide to the local community with infant and toddler daycare and a new exterior secure playground. An upgrade to their on site culinary facilities with a new commercial style kitchen and appliances enable staff to provide hot meal to the local community, local children in their after school programs and provide new cooking class where possible. With an expansion of the existing daycare facilities into adjacent storage areas, this facilities has more than double in square footage in order to reach City requirement. Renovations included new millwork and food prep stations, diaper changing locations, staff and toddler washing locations. New glazing opening where added to achieve maximum natural light where possible in the infant area. Kitchen: To maximize the full potential of the culinary facilities, a full renovation of 3 rooms (toddler daycare, stuff and pantry) where taken into account. All interior walls where fully demolished. New mechanical and electrical rough-ins where complete, along with new structural and skylight opening to allow a natural light follow. The new commercial kitchen is fully equipped with all new stainless steel appliances and cabinetry throughout, new food prep wash station, disposal and rises station, hygienic eye and hands washing station, along with walk-in cooler/ freezers, pantry and storage facilities.
